A free printable resource, and the app that comes next

Letter Tracing Worksheets started at our kitchen table. My daughter was 6 and kept writing her S backwards. Every page, every time, however often we showed her. The sheets I could find online either hid the stroke order or wanted an email address first, so I drew a page that showed where to start and which way to go. Then came the rest of the alphabet, then the app.

Every PDF here is free, has no email gate and shows the correct stroke order with numbered arrows, because the start point matters more than neatness.

Every letter page shows how to form the capital and the small letter, the 26 letters are grouped into the 4 families most UK schools teach, and the 6 letters children reverse most are flagged so you know where to spend the time.

I am also building a small iOS app so children can keep practising the same strokes on screen, with a friendly pencil called Penny, stickers and daily challenges. The worksheets will always stay free.

Teachers: print as many as you like for your class. Parents: a sheet a day is plenty. If something is wrong on a sheet, tell us and we will fix it.
