Ladder letters: Start at the top and go straight down.
How to form the letter T
Down first, then the bar across
Capital T (2 strokes)

Start at the top line, draw the stick
Straight down to the base line.

Bar across the top
From left to right along the top line.
Lowercase t (2 strokes)

Start a little below the top line
Lowercase t is shorter than l.

Straight down, curve at the bottom
Finish with a small curve to the right on the base line.

Cross it on the mid line
A short bar from left to right.
On the sheet: T is for tent. Say it out loud: "t-t-tent". Can you think of two more T words?
Common mistakes
What to watch for with T

t as tall as l
Start the stick a little below the top line.

Bar too high
The bar on lowercase t sits on the mid line, the same as f.

Capital T bar first
Draw the stick first so the bar has something to sit on.
